We are planning this year’s SALGA holiday for 20-24 September 2021. It will be based at the Grand Burstin Hotel, Folkestone, Kent. We hope to to visit Eltham Palace & Gardens on the outward journey and Down House (Darwin’s home) on the way home. Other proposed venues include Canterbury, Sandwich, Ramsgate Tunnels, Manston RAF Museum, two special gardens and a half-day in Ramsgate (where you can visit the new Turner Contemporary Art Gallery for free). All to be confirmed.
Based on this itinerary, the estimated cost including Barnes coach travel, driver gratuity, 4 days’ half board accommodation at the hotel and entrance to venues as proposed above will be no more than £380 per person (excluding £45 single room supplement).
This holiday has been postponed from 2020 and a number of people who originally booked to come on it are unable to make the new dates, so there are vacancies! If you are interested and want to bring a friend/relative, please contact Jan Flanagan 01793 523048, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Further information on this and, we hope, other future trips will be provided as it becomes available.
