This year the competition is being run in a slightly changed format. Kings Seeds generously donated 160 packets of seeds and these were topped up by a donation from one of our members. All the primary schools in the area were emailed and offered some free seeds to get them started, and 29 schools responded. Some 8-10 packets of seeds were sent to each of these, and we have asked that they send us some photos of the results.
If permitted, we plan to visit the best 3 schools and choose an overall winner. The winner will be invited to attend the prize giving our annual Horticultural Show (Pinetrees Community Centre, 4 September) to be presented with the cup.
